By mounting the lens backward on a camera body, you can create amazing macro images. It is extremely fun to turn your lens into a macro lens, normally however when a G type lens is mounted in reverse for macro photography, you are unable to control the aperture of the lens. This Aperture Control Enabler allows you to easily adjust the aperture on any Nikon lens (including G type); as well as it gives you the ability to add 52mm filters, caps and hoods to the reversed lens for even more creative control!

  • • This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.
  • • 'Focus-By-Wire' lenses (such as Canon's STM or Nikons AF-P) requires power to engage the manual focus rings on the lens, since manual lens mount adapters do not power the lens, those lenses will not be able to focus.
  • • Set your exposure manually or meter using your camera's Aperture Priority (stop-down) mode.
  • • All pictures are for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary slightly due to ongoing improvements in design.

Lily N. ★★★★★

The 52mm filter threads on this adapter are a lifesaver—I can screw my macro filter straight onto the reversed lens without any extra step-up rings. It’s solidly built and the aperture ring moves smoothly, so dialing in f-stops for focus stacking feels precise.

Ella ★★★★★

Finally, a way to control aperture on my G-type lenses when reverse-mounted. The built-in 52mm filter threads let me screw on a UV filter without any extra step-up rings. Makes macro shooting so much easier.

Sofia ★★★★★

I was skeptical about reverse-mounting my G-type lens until I found this adapter, but the aperture control ring actually works smoothly. Being able to screw on a 52mm filter while shooting macro is a huge bonus too.
