  • Start controlling and modifying your light with this Silver/Black Umbrella. In general, the umbrella will soften and broaden the light output of any strobe or lower wattage constant light. This model features a reflective silver interior to provide a crisper, more focused light, revealing structure and detail in your subjects. The umbrella also has a black backing to minimize light loss and light spill while maximizing output. Silver umbrellas add specular highlights - a little bit more 'snap' than a white umbrella. Silver umbrellas may also add ½-1 f/stop of light output, depending on the light source used. Most studio lights include a built-in umbrella receptacle for instant mounting. There are also a variety of mounting brackets available for speedlights with adjustable and tiltable options for precise positioning.

    Customer Reviews (4.4 / 5 · 5 reviews)

    Chloe ★★★★★

The silver interior really throws light around evenly, and the whole thing feels solid enough to survive being knocked over between shoots. I’ve used it for three portraits so far and the diffusion is exactly what I needed.

    Amelia ★★★★★

Setup was quick and the heavy-duty frame feels like it can handle a lot of abuse. Even with a basic speedlight, the silver interior throws a surprisingly even, soft light across a whole group.

    Daniel F. ★★★★★

Set it up on a light stand in under a minute, and the heavy-duty frame feels like it could survive a decade of location shoots. The silver interior throws a noticeably even, punchy spread that softens shadows without eating all my output. Exactly what I needed for portable portraits.
